Dr. Raj Chandwaney is a nationally recognized Interventional Cardiologist who completed his Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships at Northwestern University Medical School in 2002 and 2003, respectively. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Raj Chandwaney received his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1996.
Dr. Raj Chandwaney has received board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Also, Dr. Raj Chandwaney is the first cardiologist in Tulsa to obtain board certification in Endovascular Medicine from the Society of Vascular Medicine Board (SVMB).
Dr. Raj Chandwaney has been practicing in Tulsa, Oklahoma since 2003 with the Oklahoma Heart Institute. He specializes in performing cardiac, carotid, and peripheral vascular procedures such as angioplasty, atherectomy, laser, and stent procedures. Dr. Chandwaney has extensive experience performing successful procedures in patients with the most complex lesion subsets including chronic total occlusions of the peripheral and coronary arteries.
Dr. Raj Chandwaney has published numerous articles in peer reviewed medical journals. His research has recently focused on the advanced techniques to treat coronary chronic total occlusions. Dr. Chandwaney presents regularly at national/international professional meetings on this topic.
